Equipment

Vancouver Island Powerline has the largest fleet of late model powerline construction equipment on the island. We have a cross selection of Altec and Pitman products.

We have digger derricks, corner mounted, behind the cab and rider chair equipped, the reach is from 42 feet to 49 feet. Our Aerial manlifts are mounted over the rear axle and range in platform height from 50 - 55 feet. All are hot line equipped and have material handling capability.

Our excavation equipment includes a Case 680 K backhoe c/w hoe ram and hoe pack that can be towed behind our digger derricks on a 24 ton Landoll haul all. For transmission work, we have a John Deere 690ELC excavator c/w hydraulic thumb.

Our 4x4 crew cabs are all conductor carrying capable and feature Warn style winches. One is equipped with side packs and a power tailgate.

We have various overhead and underground cable pulling systems and a flat deck complete with a Pitman Hiab for material handling and pole delivery.
