ISO 9001:2000

On August 5, 2003, Deloitte and Touche Quality Registrar Inc. certified Vancouver Island Powerline to the ISO 9001:200 standard.

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a worldwide federation, from 130 countries. The mission of ISO is to promote the development of standardization and relative activities in the world.

The ISO 9001 standard is primarily concerned with "quality management". This encompasses what the company does to fulfill the customer's quality requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements, while aiming to enhance customer satisfaction, and achieve continual improvements of its performance in pursuit of these objectives. To retain certification an intensive audit of the quality management systems is conducted by a third party i.e. Deloitte and Touche Quality Registrar on an annual basis.
